ABOUT
WASTEBUILD

Our mission

A circular built environment

It is WasteBuild’s mission to accelerate the transition towards a circular built environment. We will achieve by showcasing the latest materials, techniques, solutions and innovators themselves that are helping to deliver circular schemes today.

But events themselves often create large quantities of waste and have huge carbon footprints of their own. Which is where WasteBuild is different. It is our ambition for WasteBuild to be zero waste and have a net zero carbon impact. In fact in time we will be carbon positive.

In the face of the current coronavirus pandemic it is more important than ever that we support the construction sector to accelerate out of lockdown and to kickstart the campaign towards circularity.

Wastebuild live

A unique approach

WasteBuild’s approach is entirely unique. Not only are we the only international event focussed purely on circular solutions for the built environment, but we also live and breath those circular and regenerative values ourselves and support the UN SDG’s to deliver our event.

We have designed WasteBuild with disassembly and reuse in mind. Our stand constructions are 100% reusable and we have created zero waste exhibition guidelines for our exhibitors. Where we have identified items that cannot be effectively recycled and would end up in landfill or the incinerator, we refuse to use them.

Themes

A truly innovative event

This independence from adhering to ‘traditional’ and linear options means we can work with like-minded suppliers and innovators to ensure we are delivering a truly innovative event. WasteBuild Live attracts the largest gathering of circular leaders and innovators in the construction sector because of our focussed content.

Now is the time for action and that is our theme for 2020. Register for WasteBuild live now and find out what techniques, solutions, networks and materials exist to help your next project be more circular than your last.

Wastebuild 365

A growing community

We are more than just a two-day event in Amsterdam, we are a 6,000 strong (and growing) community based across Europe and the World, who are looking for circular solutions NOW, for their current and next projects. Which is why we also encourage and support our community to speak and meet each other, and to engage in the content from the event, throughout the year, not just at the event, through our new initiative WasteBuild 365.

This year round collaborative platform ensures the WasteBuild community has access to content and advice whenever and wherever suits them. We facilitate our community to meet online before and after the event, improving relationships and reducing our overall carbon footprint. Register now for WasteBuild Live and get all notifications for WasteBuild 365 as well.
