Why WasteBuild
A decade of action
Following an incredible launch event in 2019, WasteBuild Zero continued to grow throughout 2020 and 2021 despite the challenges we were all facing. This is because specifiers have realised that they can no longer opt for 'business as usual' and need to find alternative, low carbon and circular solutions for their next projects.
This is exactly what WasteBuild Zero showcases which means we attract the world’s leading developers, architects, designers and engineers who have recognised the effect that construction has
on climate change and want to do something about it now.
Add to this our new reach in our new home alongside WAF, the AR and the AJ and this means our reach goes far beyond only the early adopters and gets our message in front of the next wave - the early majority.

You can travel by rail and save up to 90% carbon emissions compared to air. Amsterdam is connected across Europe by high speed rail including
Eurostar to London. Until then don't travel at all and enjoy WasteBuild from your own desk.

2019 AT A GLANCE
FOR A LOW CARBON RECOVERY
FOR A LOW CARBON RECOVERY
Accelerate the transition to a circular built environment…
WasteBuild Zero is the first and only international built environment event with the dedicated ambition to eliminate global waste.
Today, the construction process accounts for 50% of all materials used globally and for 36% of the waste created.
Increasing public awareness and an appetite to tackle waste in all forms is encouraging the adoption of robust circular economy roadmaps across all governments, with innovations in the built environment critical to every plan.
This movement away from the old linear ‘take, make, waste’ approach towards a circular economy is now more and more backed up by regulations and government targets across Europe and the World.
WasteBuild Zero in Amsterdam is the only event dedicated to the international architecture, engineering and construction community and to specifically understanding the opportunities that the circular economy brings.
Learn, be inspired and do business at WasteBuild Zero 2022 and make sure your organisation is maximising the opportunities of the new circular built environment.
